There are 613 mitzvot (commandments from God) that all Jews are supposed to follow. Some of them are easy to understand and apply to modern day life, while others seem antiquated and irrelevant. We invite you to ponder the 613 rules and to submit your own (re)interpretation of what they mean to us today. More about this project

If your examination does not start with the question "is their opinion important and indispensible" you run an unacceptible risk of unnecessarily clouding the issue through the haphazard, messy business of trying to decide whose eyes to trust and how far.

We are collecting text and audio "remixes" of the 613 mitzvot for an art piece which will debut at DAWN, a special event at grand opening of the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco.
Your submission will be a part of the installation of this piece, where the mitzvot will be displayed along side their remixes to create an interactive environment of contemplation, interpretation, and understanding.
